The SBS Group's International marine transportation service proposes freight charges that utilize economies of scale. In addition to dry cargo, we handle temperature-controlled and special containers.
We also specialize in integrated intermodal transportation combining marine transportation with rail and trucks, and the SBS Group network is being actively expanded not only in North America and Europe but in Asia as well.
We have also established a track record transporting a wide range of cargo, including precision equipment and chemicals, base paper and raw materials, steel and steel products, equipment and plants, machinery and components, office fixtures, furniture and lighting fixtures, and electrical appliances.
Import and export customs
Providing Import/Export Customs Clearance Services Combining Air and Marine Transportation With Domestic Delivery
The SBS Group offers import and export customs clearance agent services for the cargo of customers spanning a wide range of business types and industries.
Additionally, through coordination within the Group and with affiliate companies, we also handle other procedures associated with importing and exporting, such as domestic delivery services, warehousing and packaging work.
Rules for customs clearance procedures and product-specific taxes (customs duties) in particular often vary by country. We take over prior arrangements with customs authorities to determine what declaration procedures are required for the products a customer intends to import or export.
Overseas transportation

The SBS Group provides transportation services from overseas unloading ports to customers, and from customers to loading ports. Shortages of drivers have become a serious issue in Europe and North America, but through collaboration with local partners based on long-term business ties, we are able to arrange the right vehicles, even for long-distance transnational transportation jobs.
Additionally, as the SBS Group maintains long-term business relationships with an extensive range of local partners, we can even arrange the most appropriate vehicles for transportation to remote areas across borders.
We propose the most suitable means of transportation such as truck, rail, ship or air based on various factors including logistics costs, lead time and environmental considerations.
Import/export warehouse
Proposing Vanning Designs Tailored to Cargo Characteristics
The logistics facilities that mainly handle import and export cargo for the SBS Group have obtained AEO certification which allows simplified and faster customs clearance. Utilizing both regular warehouses and bonded warehouses, we provide customs clearance, storage, cargo handling, transportation planning and delivery tailored to customer business models.
In addition, during export we can provide specialized packaging performed by experts, including case packaging, barrier packaging and skid packaging. From packaging materials using fumigated wood to the sale of plywood pallets, we cater to various needs related to export packaging.
We use IT to present optimum loading plans to ensure that customer cargo gets to its destination safely and with high loading efficiency.

The SBS Group is currently strengthening its logistics operations in various Asian countries with fast-growing economies, including China, India, Thailand, Singapore and the Philippines.
In recent years, we have focused on the operation of local logistics centers in addition to logistics services such as international forwarding and truck-based transportation. We handle incoming and outgoing cargo within Asian countries as well as to and from Japan and other countries.
